How to choose keyboard switches
Hall Effect switches
Magnetic (HE) switches only work in keyboards with a Hall Effect PCB. They allow adjustable actuation and rapid trigger. Check the product page for the compatible boards before buying.
Mechanical switches
Linear switches move smoothly with no bump and are the common choice for gaming. Tactile switches have a bump that confirms each press and suit typing. Hot-swap boards let you change switches without soldering.
